Police coercion, case dismissed – Skokie

Case Conclusion Date: June 20 2013

Practice Area: Criminal Defense

Outcome: MOTION GRANTED CASE DISMISSED

Description: Skokie Courthouse (Case # 12 CR 1931901)

Our client was pulled over by officers from the Chicago Police Department who proceeded to search his vehicle until they found Methamphetamine . The arresting officers asserted that our client consented to the search. We argued to the Judge that our client’s consent was the product of police coercion. The Judge agreed and granted our motion to suppress the drugs. The State subsequently dismissed the case.
